The PCRM is mostly an animal rights group, closely aligned with PETA and other fairly extreme groups in the animal rights world. The individual target here is the ATLS program which NDSU facilitates for Sanford. However, the goal is the elimination of any use of animals to benefit humans (food, medical research, hunting etc). The leader of PCRM is a Fargo born physician so PCRM has special interest in, and is on the lookout for, opportunities in Fargo.
