The warden investigating the death of a bear that bit a Superior man in the arm and legs is mum about what he has learned so far.

What a shame that this animal had to lose it’s life foraging for food. As an avid deer hunter myself, this is NOT a response against hunting. It is, however, a response that it’s to bad these folks didn’t show a little common sense and allow the bear to finish his meal before acting so foolishly! Am quite sure that they’ve walked in and out of their blinds in the dark and could have waited it out….

In my lifetime, I’ve seen hundreds of bears, even those that tear down my bird feeders. And everytime when they see a human, they turn tail and run away. We even used to throw rocks at them and chase them up trees, and never had a bear turn on us. I find it hard to believe that the bear would attack, unless it was injuerd, first
