While they are doing this work, I wonder if they have given thought to adding accentuated profile lighting to the bridge, like they did to the Blatnick several years ago. Really makes the bridge a much more noticeable feature in our hill and harbor’s scenic vista, especially entering from Thompson Hill. Something a little more modern and unique would be nice, that accentuates its architecture, instead of just a series white lightbulb fixtures strung along the main beams. Maybe a more linear presentation with low instensity tube type lighting, say of an aqua green (complimenting Enger Tower’s beacon light) or blueish tint. Following the graceful lines of the bridge’s flowing and curving design would be an eye catching enhancement to the bridge, the harbor and the entire Twin Port’s evening panorama.

Just so long as they make sure to keep using that japanese steel that they originally built the bridge with. What a kick in the nuts to Bong, after shooting down so many japanese planes.
