I last wrote that the 9/11 attacks not only killed thousands of Americans and led to perhaps 70 times that many Iraqi deaths but also finished off the America we old-timers used to know. Continue Reading

Ross Nelson is once again a voice of reason. I respect a man who’s ideas come from his principles instead of the “the opposite of whatever the other group (add Democrat or Republican here) want”.

From a 5 Oct 2011 Reuters article; “Secret panel can put American on kill list. American militants like Anwar al-Awlaki are placed on a kill or capture list by a secretive panel of senior government officials, which then informs the president of its decisions, according to officials. There is no public record of the operations or decisions of the panel, which is a subset of the White House’s National Security Council, several current and former officials said. Neither is there any law establishing its existence or setting out the rules by which it is supposed to operate.”
What a great idea this panel is….I mean it could never be used by our honorable and very honest government officials to say…… target certain political groups who cause problems.
Vice President Joe Biden joined House Democrats in lashing tea party Republicans Monday, accusing them of having “acted like terrorists” “We have negotiated with terrorists,” an angry Doyle said, according to sources in the room. “This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money.”
From a Homeland Security memo in 2008; “the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.”
A couple quotes from Thomas Jefferson;
“All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.” “Those who surrender freedom for security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.” “Experience has shown, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.”

I was not on a kill list, however, I was banned from entering the Bison Sports Arena, when former president George Bush came to Fargo.
Why you ask. For logging into a different political website, other than a republican one. I was not even a member of this site, just checking out what they had to say.
So the big shot republican party members of ND, put together a list and gave it to the secrete service and baned 36 Fargoens from attending Bush’s speech about privatizing Social Security.
I had no intention of going, however, I did not really like my name being plastered on the front page of the Fargo Forum. I am a proud veteran, who was drafted during the Vietnam war.
Today as I look back, I never thought that this kind of thing happen in the good ole US of A. To be banned from entering a tax payers building, just because I looked at a democrat website in unconscionable.
This country is going to hell in a hand bag, just like the Roman Empire did. Unless the people speak up and fight these people in our government and vote them out of office; and elect people who honer out constitution, our country is doomed.
It’s our country, don’t let it slip away to a few. All you have to do is look at congress today, and see how we almost went broke, as congress did not to stop the tax breaks to the rich.
Remember the golden rule,those who have the gold rules; is that what we Americans want? I do not think so.

Wake up people, Democrat-Republican….we’ve gotta get past that now….they want us to “hate” each other and pick political sides…that’s what keeps people who think like this in power. If you are busy hating and blaming the R’s or the D’s…then they can tap phones, track your whereabouts, lock away government documents, order executions…do whatever they want because if they have a D or R after their name a good segment of people will support whatever they do.
