What did anyone expect? This district can’t manage 100s of thousands of dollars of its finances, can’t stand up and make sacrifices during tough economic times, and spends anticipated grant money taking care of employee health plan cost increases with no “chip-in” from some of the highest paid workers in the county. Then they fritter away more dollars on bus operation fines and expenses that do not benefit the educational goals of the students they are supposed to be serving. And the superintendent is distracted wasting precious hours of his time with legal issues associated with his personal life. So why would we expect any different results than we have seen over past years? This operation needs a real shakeup, but I don’t see anyone on the school board willing to step up to the task!
