I almost died when I read this this morning! My 7 year old started doing this when she started kindergarten two years ago. She then proceeded to teach her younger sister (now 4) her fabulous idea. The only rule I have is that they can’t do it with their church clothes and I get to inspect before we leave the house.

Maverick, you’re so right! They are very clear-headed sometimes, unlike their parents on occasion. And FargoMama, I’m so glad to know you got a charge out of it. I love that you’ve had a similar experience. But good thinking on the church clothes. We have to exert our power from time to time still, especially when appropriate.
