Isn’t it ironic that is Fire Prevention Month and our “OFFICIALS’ are working a +$14 million dollar fire that destroyed millions of cords of wood ?
Tornados, earthquakes and other disasters we have no control over ,,, this fire disaster was totally preventable.

How is a lightning strike preventable? The USFS has to deal with fires as stated by the laws in place. That is what should be looked at- all fires under the USFS(Dept of AGR.) are dealt with the same way- no matter where it happens in the country. Certainly a fire here burns differently than in the mountains or the swamps- and maybe that is what should be looked at. As it was- everything was done by the law- and if this fire brings about a change in the law- then that is another plus for it.
