“See a fuller version of this story in Saturday’s News Tribune”. Since when is “fuller” a word appropriate for this context? There is no “fuller” other than a cloth folder or the Fuller Brush Man. The DNT needs to hire workers who know the English language. The current workers with a 10th grade education just aren’t cutting it!!!

Wonder if the writers and editors of the Tribune attended some of these schools…the article has typos and grammar errors, as does the caption under the picture of the administrator building!

The dumbing down of society rears its ugly head for all to see in the DNT.

Teaching to the test, appears not to be working..So what will happen in 2014, shut down every school that fails, like that is going to happen. Where do you suppose all these children will go to school?

So I suppose they will be asking for more money any day now.

So what if almost every school failed competency. We got new schools.
Hot debate. What do you think?

Why would the DNT run the “fuller” story on Saturday? It is because that is a lower readership day, and they hope that not many see it, as opposed to publishing the “fuller” story on Sunday. For shame DNT.
And to solve the school solution, More money! More Money!!! The ISD needs more money!!!!

I don’t see how these tests are even relevant any more since No Child Left Behind is being left behind. The program was largely a failure from the start and appears to be about as popular as Obama’s health care plan, although this was one of Bush’s failures.

Hey, I know: let’s devise a simple system that identifies the best highway vehicle. Don’t worry about differentiating between 4×4 off-road rigs, ultra high mileage econo-commuters, 18-wheelers, pick-ups, passenger sedans, or gas
electric hybrids. Just a simple, one size fits all rating system for the BEST vehicle. That shouldn’t be too difficult, just ask W.

No surprise there! Instead of knowledgeable kids, we got shiney new schools with a shortage of teachers! Oh, and bragging rights to our shiney new schools as well! Do you think the kids can count how many schools we now have, or will they flunk that too?
