The number of wildland firefighters battling the Pagami Creek forest fire in the Superior National Forest is heading down as crews and cooler, damper weather have knocked the fire down.

The cost for this fire is currently well over $ 12 million. The bill will probably be close to $20 million before the snow flies in November. It could have been put out on Aug 18 for a couple hundred dollars with a USFS water scooper. Just imagine the wonderful things we could have done for Arrowhead communities, schools and libraries with this breathtaking waste of taxpayer dollars…Sheesh!
