Jacalyn, I think the majority of us working ‘stiffs’ think it may be the unions and ‘progressives’ who are destroying the middle class.
If that isn’t the case, why is it only 7% of the private work force is union and dropping fast? Why is it the ‘public’ unions are bankrupting so many states with their outrageous pensions and perks?

How much do the unions pay him to shill for them?

This is one guy who does not bother with facts nor has a use for facts of the matter. He has an agenda and nothing else.

Again, talk to the farmers, take on their risks and when they don’t make any profits, how long would American Crystal be in business? Look at the unemployment rate, job qualifications and the state most companies are in. Get the facts.

Unfortunately the media has largely ignored this strike. Most people seem to be of the opinion that the workers should just be happy that they have jobs.

The media has ignored this? Really?
As for Ed wanting to put the dispute on “the national map”, I say go ahead. But here’s what needs to be kept a bit more “regional”:
Pay and benefits.
How so? It’s pretty simple really. What a given position is “worth” depends on the amount of skill/education/experience the job requires. Then we add the “region” or “locale” factor into the mix….shake it up….and arrive at a pay and benefits number. If Ed believes certain individuals deserve more than that, he needs to explain why.
I haven’t heard a good explanation from anyone else as of yet, perhaps Ed will have better luck.

Great observation Marc!….according to ratings agencies, more people watch the ‘Cartoon’ channel in one hour than MSNBC in a week.

Big Cousin Eddie should start with how Frank Hurt justifies making 1.1 million leading his sheep to slaughter.

If any one read the Grand Forks Herald Front page headlines, N.D. and Minnesota farm susidies cuts coming in 2012
from the Obama administration ….does this mean farmers get unemployment in minnesota and not North dakota too?

Cousin Eddie is going to make John Riskey and Mark Froemke famous to around 7000 people on MSNBC.
Or he will do what he does every night, he will make a riskey froemke out of himself.

The union has already lost the battle so they might as well have a loser represent them.
