A failure on state and federal levels to come to agreement on righting the fiscal ship has squandered the future of young people. Early retirement incentives could free up jobs but most people don’t retire because of the high cost of health care. Also there seems to be a push to make people work longer to recive social security benefits. This dosen’t bode well for freeing up jobs for recent grads. Failure to deal with creating a good health care system keeps people from retiring as they work to ratain health care coverage. Alarm about the solvency of social security dosn’t give people confidence to retire either. The failure of politicians to solve our finanacial problems has led to low consumer confidence. People tend to hang on to thier jobs during unsure times. It’s time to get some real political solutions in place to get the economy moving. Instead the GOP prefers to play election politics with all of these problems. We need a new congress to get out of this mess. The current one is not up to the job.

This is a sad outlook for recent grads and those in their 20’s and 30’s. Maybe if the younger generation would show up at the voter booths, this sinking ship might start to rise again. But nah sit on your butts and let somebody else take on this task such as the elderly, senile and sheeple of the great USA.
And yes much of this has to do with who we are electing, the same crooks who concerns are to those funding their campaigns, rather than the general public.
