“Golombiecki said they will recommend up to three full-time registered nurses and five full-time public health nurses be filled” This is great news for Nobles County residents!! Our worst fear was they would get rid of the backbone of public health, which is the nursing staff. Thankfully, it looks as if all of the PHN’s positions will be spared. Let’s hope that they decide to keep the current PHN & RN staff. Some of them have rubbed some key figures in Nobles County politics the wrong way, so I know they are worried about retaliation, despite being great nurses.
Unfortunately, two very good people are losing their jobs, it seems. I feel terrible for them because they know the bookkeeping, billing and coding, accounts receivable, and PHP duties and have them down to a science. All of that knowledge base and experience will be lost.
Good Luck Nobles County, let’s hope your commissioners and administrator have made the right decision for the county. I’m afraid services will be affected because of these decisions and don’t believe it was in the best interest for the county. I’ll be praying for you all!!
