I 100% absolutely agree with preventing them from doing that. The reason?? Do some of them need the money, yes. Do most of them buy booze with it, yes. We were getting a starbucks by Target and decided the extra $20 we had would be better used by someone that actually needed it. So we gave it to the man standing on the corner with the sign.
We got halfway home when we realized we had forgotten something at Target that we had to get for her childs birthday party. So as we were coming back up 32nd, we were stopped at the light by Happy Harry’s, we saw that same man we had just given $20 to thinking he would have a full belly of food for the night and we did a good thing… here he was coming out of Happy Harry’s with 2 bottles of booze in his hands.

With unemployment only 3% in Grand Forks county if you don’t have a job you don’t want one. I never give money on the street to anyone. Give to your favorite church or charity instead.
