Dickinson Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Terri Thiel has announced she is resigning since Dickinson City Commissioners are proposing an ordinance amendment which will impact the CVB’s funding.

Maybe the could just reduce the taxes on a room? It’s getting crazy, how much tax there is on a hotel room.
All put on with the rational that there is a need for promotion and building facilities and such to promote tourism.
So businesses are basically being taxed to pay for things they don’t need or use.
Now, Dickinson want to tax them and use the money for other things.
Just reduce the tax.
