   I lived in Mitchell at the time this happened. I don’t know that John Mathis committed the crime himself, but he KNOWS who did. I have always felt that the gun used, could have been hidden in the insulation of the new house that was being built. I never heard that the walls were checked, they might have been and I never heard about it or forgot about it. I really wish the cold case team would dig into this.
