Officials of the company could not be found to comment as they were scattering back to their rat holes.. Hmm, record profits, government sugar programs and company officials making a million plus, and they want to chop benefits and job security, the farmers that own the company should be ashamed!

Joe doesn’t understand that the unions were also instrumental in getting the wages and benefits that he is now being paid. In that respect the unions also represent him. Only someone else is paying the union dues for him. He doesn’t stop to think about the fact, that the demise of unions is also the demise of himself.
