Cutting the Budget of Public Safety should be the last thing done. The City is spending money on a lot of other projects. How can they claim Public Safety is a priority when the budget cuts result in the loss of a Police Officer? It does not make sense. I have heard the arguement of fair and balanced but I don’t support the funding of Tennis Courts, parks, recreation and so on when it is at the expense of Public Safety. Police Officers are the ones who will save your live with CPR. Policemen and Firemen are the ones who will sacrifice themselves for you. Not the City Council or any other project funded by them.
