One would think that accessing it online would give you more up to date information, but that isn’t always the case. Waiting for Friday’s edition to find out what went on at Monday’s city council meeting or results from a Tuesday night game is a little ridiculous. Also, the court news is non-existent, so we are led to believe that there are no robberies or assaults in this town. I doubt that this is the case.

A note from the Echo Press editor (in response to Julio’s comment): City council stories are posted online the same night as the meetings and appear in Wednesday’s newspaper, with follow-ups in future issues. Game scores are posted immediately or by the following morning. Robberies or serious assaults are put online immediately. This is something the Echo Press has been doing for years. It takes time and commitment to do this but we believe the effort is worth it.
