Releases rising

Water releases from the Jamestown and Pipestone reservoirs have already been increased to 1,900 cubic feet per second, with more increases on the way, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced Monday.
Information on how the releases will affect people and property was scant Monday as engineers from the corps, Stutsman County, the city of Jamestown, Bureau of Reclamation and Interstate Engineering were still gathering information.

I tend to agree with you buffalo, but hopefully we can have a dry winter, although according to the falmers almanac that won’t be the case, if so next spring will be one for the books.

I truthfully think that even though we are in a high water situation we need to be thankful for the fact that the river hasn’t taken over the town like in other places. Let’s drain the reservoirs year-round if we can! Ice fishing will have to wait!
