It would really do the school some good to find a professional play by play announcer for their games. Sioux Hockey is broadcast across the country via satellite and while Pat Sweeny may be a fan of the game he certainly does not know much about it. Even his sidekick, a championship winning assistant hockey coach, often has a hard trime keeping him on task with calling the game and keeping trivial and silly comments out of it. no one really wants to hear comments about hte “Andy Griffith Show” during a game when there is legitimate action going on. The bottom line is that while Pat may be effective as a sports director for WDAZ, he is not effective as a broadcaster. I would really hope in the years to come the school realizes this and finds a better personality for sioux hockey as this guy is a huge detractor from the game.
