The French’s are trying to accomplish a really good thing. What nice people! It seems sad that the city is not being more helpful. If this building can’t be salvaged, maybe it would be more cost effective to build a new one. Either way, these centers are so essential for the seniors, the city needs to help them do something!

The city is most likely like most small towns just struggling to continue paying for basic services. Sometimes its a choice between projects like this and sewer, water and road maint… Good? no but it is the choice many face. Cities cant print their own money.
