I don’t necessarily agree with your sentiment, Bill, however I do believe that if you aren’t going to do something right, do not do it at all.

I think the plan is a great idea but we were told to get over it. So I will.

I would like to see this money used on more aides in the classroom to work on reading, science, math, and academics.

I agree, but sports has always been the squeaky wheel that got the money. It’s too bad, because academics stays with you for life.

That’s true, sports gets a ton of money because it’s what the public sees first hand. Maybe it would be to the school’s benefit to just use that money to pay for good athletes. I’m sure they’d earn that cash back with ticket sales to see some super star players!

By the intelligence of your comment Fred Brown, it looks like you played too much football in high school.

Maybe if you had played high school athletics Fred, you’d know that there are many skills that are that stay with you a lifetime. Believe it or not, kids learn how to build relationships, decision making skills, learn how to take initiatives, learn respect, and teamwork/leadership.
Apparently, you don’t know many of our athletes at JHS, otherwise you would not have made such an ill-advised comment toward them.
