Harsdorf’s resounding victory is evidence of the silent majority that exists in this state. Shelly Moore didn’t garner many more votes than the angry 23,000 people who signed her recall sheets. It is evidence that she was not the right candidate to put up in this district. We all tried to tell them that early on, they just didn’t listen to us. It is also evidence that we meant what we said when we voted Walker and the rest of the republicans in in 2010. The recall laws in this state need to be changed, period. There should be a higher bar and proof that an individual is unfit for office due to illegal activities. What we have observed this summer is pure nonsense. True democracy is not ‘mob rule’ like we saw in Madison last winter….the people have spoken. Good night.

Now, if only every person who signed the recall petitions would be charged to pay for this colossal waste of time.

Shelly Moore may be the most delusional politician ever to run in Wisconsin for anything. She had the audacity in her “concession” speech to claim “we could never get over the big money and negative campaigning of the other side….” wow…

A resounding victory for Western Wisconsin and a clear mandate to continue the common sense reforms that benefiting taxpayers rather than special interests. Thank you, Sheila.
As important, the GOP retains control of the Senate. When I turned in last night Luther Olsen in District 14 and Alberta Darling in District 8 were trailing with a majority of precincts reporting. Another outstanding affirmation of the reforms we’ve seen over the last year.
Scott Walker has balanced the budget without raising taxes and created more jobs in a recessionary environment than nearly every state in the union. Faster, please

Time to bill the Dem’s and Unions for the wasted money from these bogus elections! Congrats Sheila!!!!
Jim, in a way the Unions have already been billed and have paid. They put $30 million into these recalls elections. That’s $30 million less they have for the 2012 elections.
Now let’s get Wisconsin a Right to Work State!!!!!
After all the nonsense the democrats are doing to the country at a Federal level, it’s sure nice to have this election turn out how it did to make one feel some pride again.

Let’s not forget, voters not only voted for Sheila, but they voted against the nonsense of these recalls. You dems better think long and hard before attempting a Walker recall…..you may put the state in republican hands for decades to come by doing so.

What a waste of money- like i said before, the dems will waste and waste to get their way….WHAT GOOD COULD HAVE BEEN DONE WITH THIS WASTE OF MONEY?

Does this make sense to anyone?
If I remember correctly, & I may not but didn’t they need 23,000 signatures to recall Sheila? Moore only received 27,250 votes in this election. Did they really only find another 4,250 people to vote for Moore? This doesn’t make sense.
What am I missing?

Now I hope the people turn out in masses to recall the Dems who fled the state in next weeks election.
First thing on the agenda should be to change the recall laws so this BS doesn’t happen again. What a waste of time and money. Good grief!

You might like the results of the election, but I really dont like what was being claimed about Harsdorf backing the areas of taking away all the funds from her local area, and giving them to the richer areas. I also do not like the fact that she agrees that badgercare and medicare need to be cut. I have not followed her every move, but if these are true statements, then I would not vote for her. The Reps are suppose to work for their people first. There is no excuse for her taking funds away from this area, to give areas she is not a rep for. to take away programs that are in place to help people is another example of not caring for the people she represents. I have tried to get in touch with her myself, with all the attempts being ignored, so she has not represented me at all.. Either way…money always talks doesn’t it???

First of all, it is possible to communicate with Senator Harsdorf, just do it with respect and be patient.
You need to do a little research. YOUR tax dollars (property, income, and the various sales tax), both state and federal, do not always stay in this area or even in this state. On the federal level, WI sends more money to Washington DC than is returned via various grants, subsidies, etc.
Tax collection is a shell game of sorts, and why I believe the Tea Party advocates a smaller government. Who is better at spending your money, you, the state or federal government? The US Constitution requires all citizens through their states to fund things like a military. States fund things like prisons and roads. The federal government has for decades been expanding taking over state’s rights by imposing regulations on the the states. Spend some time, learn where your money is going and for what.
The democrat charge that money was being taken from local school districts to send to Milwaukee private schools was rated FALSE by PolitifactWI. Read the entire article, it gives background and research info on how the claim was rated.
BTW, I’ve tried to talk with Kind and Kohl many times but can’t get past the person answering the phone. Emails get me a form letter reply….usually a bunch of bs that didn’t address my concern.

I just read on kstp.com and kare11.com that the Dem’s plan to continue with their plan to re-call GOV. WALKER!! WHY? When will the Dems’ and Unions stop wasting OUR TAX MONEY? Are the Unions that afraid that the people of this great country we live in will figure out how big of a fraud the Union really is? Who is getting rich in the Union, surely not the workers. Must be the big shots sitting behind the desks smoking their cigars! When will the union workers wake up?
