The Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport parking lot may be getting a new look this fall. However, a partisan stalemate has partially shut down the Federal Aviation Administration stopping airport construction projects and depriving federal coffers of potentially more than $1 billion in uncollected ticket taxes, after congressional attempts to reach deal fell through on Tuesday.

As a native of ND I find it interesting that the work at the airport may be shut down. ND has been a republican state as long as I can remember. With the extreme element of the party and the TEA party in control, I suspect that soon the agricultural support payments will be cut or eliminated. Remember that when you vote.

The airport won’t be shutdown, a project to expand the parking lot could be stalled because that portion of th FAA is out of money and congress needs to vote on that and they’re on break right now, so they can’t vote right now…
