Fisherperson obviously has no clue that the US Postal Service gets no funding from the federal gov’t. The USPS is federally mandated to fund itself which it does through selling postage stamps, etc.

Well, if they close that classic post office, they can turn it into a nice BnB or restaurant. Restore itback to the glory of when the building first arrived from the mobile home dealer.

Some small towns lose schools (because it is not economically feasible to keep them open,) some small towns lose businesses (because the businesses lose more money than they make,) and some small towns may lose their Post Office (because the service loses more money than it makes in that community.) If a home-town business man needs to shut down his business because it is not making a profit, why should the Postal Service keep a small post office open when patrons can still get services nearby?
