Night To Unite is a wonderful opportunity to meet and talk to the people who have dedicated their lives to protect and serve our community. Law enforcement is a partnership between the public and the Police Department, each having a role to play through open communication which results in a safer and happier community.
There are many ways to asses the health of a community. One of the best is to personally talk to the Officers of the Police Department and get to know them as people and members of the community. Police Officer’s have families, dreams, and hopes of a better tomorrow. They are a reflection of the morale and ethical condition of the community.
Night To Unite only happens once a year, but you have the opportunity on a daily basis to thank those special men and women who put themselves in harms way to provide the rest of us a safe community. Write a letter to the Editor of the paper and express your appreciation. Write a letter to the Chief of Police letting him know about the good things a Police Officer has done for you. Smile and wave to the cop in the squad car as he patrols your neighborhood.
Most importantly -
Pray to the LORD Jesus Christ to keep them safe and to bring them home to their families at the end of each shift.

Night To Unite was a great time! The temps and humidty were down and the spirits of those attending were up. I really enjoyed seeing my neighbors and watching their interaction with the Police Department. If this is a sign of how things are I would say that things are pretty good here in Worthington!

Who would possibly vote against either of these comments.
Do you have problem with the COPS who risk their life daily?
Do you have a problem with a community who works with Law Enforcement to improve our safety?
Or, do you have a problem with our LORD Jesus Christ who gave his life so that you may live?
