Thank you Governor Walker for being a grown-up and passing a budget, along with the legislature of course, that allowed this bill to be paid. Shame on Doyle for screwing this up and basically defaulting the state of Minnesota. Let’s hope they can get a new agreement in place ASAP! Although with Dayton, it doesn’t look too hopeful.

Excellent news. One issue down. Next: Stillwater Bridge. I checked Shelley Moore’s website, but I didn’t see her views on this. Does anyone know where she stands on this?

Moore has never even thought about any issue other than rewarding her fellow teachers and state workers with all the money and benefits she can take from the taxpayers of this once again great state. She’s a one-issue candidate if there ever was one.

Thank you Governor Walker, Senator Harsdorf, ,and Representative Knudson for a job well done on our budget. There are good things to come with the 3 of you in office.
Hot debate. What do you think?

We lost reciprocity because of Pawlenty. His poll numbers show what a loser he is.

My understanding as to why Pawlenty killed the reciprocity was because Wisconsin neglected to pay what it owed MN. Doesn’t make much sense for Pawlenty to continue the program if his state’s losing money.

We didn’t pay our bill, how is that Pawlenty’s fault?

Dohl was the reason we lost reciprocity.
He did not pay MN what they had coming because he didn’t have any money left after he wasted our money.
Now we can talk with MN with respect because we have paid our bill. Thanks to Gov. Walker.
It is nice to have a balanced budget and no debts. Go Walker!

I have to laugh at the people that don’t agree with your comment! I guess they want to live in debt and keep giving their money to the Dem’s so they can line their pocket with cash!!

The reciprocity deal, which goes back to 1968, lets thousands of Minnesota and Wisconsin residents who work across state lines file a single return. Because more than twice as many Wisconsin residents cross the border for work, Wisconsin reimburses Minnesota for income tax it collects from Minnesota workers. But those payments arrive about 17 months after they’re collected, a lag that has long frustrated Minnesota politicians.
Wisconsin always paid according to the agreement even before Doyle was governor. When money got tight in minn they wanted the money sooner. It had nothing to do with Doyle.
