This guy is an embarrassment. He shuts down the government because the Republicans will not agree to a tax increase on the rich.
If we are going to raise taxes we should raise them on all taxpayers, not just those that already pay our way. The bottom 50% of taxpayers bear no federal income tax burden. They also bear a small burden of state taxes collected.
The Pioneer Press reported this week that the U of M is soaking the well to do for more tuition so the poor can receive more aid. So now they most of the taxes and get none of the benefits. If we continue down this path of attacking the rich they will take their money elsewhere.
We should be thanking the rich not attacking them.
