So let’s play the Republicans’ game and imagine that they started out at $31 billion. (In reality, Pawlenty’s budget and expenses spent close to $35 billion in the current biennium.) That said, Republicans have moved from $31 B to $34 B – Dayton has gone from $39 B to $35.8 B. It seems to me that both sides can move one more time. Move to the middle of where they are now. End this drama! $31 B is too small of a budget and $39 B is way too big. Compromise. Get it done!

HAROLD STOP LYING FOR GOD’S SAKE. The 34 billion $$ budget is not a 6% increase. It is roughly a .2 percent increase over the last biennium.
How can you live with yourself lying all the time?
