Jamestown Public Schools failed Adequate Yearly Progress requirements as a whole last year the second time in a row the Jamestown Public School Board learned at its meeting Monday.

As soon as some parents start telling their kids that school is important, then perhaps we might see some adequate progress.

Exactly!!!! The school, administrators and teachers often get blamed for poor performance but it all starts with the parents. There’s only so much a teacher can do if there is a lack of support at home.

Its all BS. Very few schools in the nation are meeting the mandate. Every state has a different measure. There are tens of thousands of schools and thousands of school baords in this nation.
As it currently stands, it is a flawed system. Continue to try to improve but don’t lose a night’s sleep over it.
