Reader’s View: Central alum unhappy about school closing

In response to the June 9 editorial, “So long, Central; may memories never fade,” and the News Tribune Opinion page’s call for memories of Duluth Central High School, I want to say that I graduated from the old Central High School, and I remember that when we were graduates, we were allowed to go up into the clock tower to the top. It’s nice to hear about these traditions, and it’s a shame that we are losing them. And yes, we are going to have two huge high schools in Duluth. I don’t think that’s what people in Duluth really want, we could live in the Twin Cities or Chicago if we wanted our kids going to massive high schools.
