the same district that tried cutting funding for special ed wants to supply iPads? There are no educational benefits provided by iPads that cannot be found on a computer. Offering iPads just seems like a way to provide some materialistic cache to the district. Instead of trying to provide teens with time-wasting machines they should provide buses to the elementary students who are required to walk a mile (without sidewalks) to school. A mile walk may not seem like a big deal but since many Cottage Grovians seem to think they’re on the Daytona Speedway, it is a big deal.

With a budget ballooned with Ipads, they will be able to get (force) the cuts they want in a couple of years. I think there’s an app for that.
