WORTHINGTON One is out of jail on bond awaiting a jury trial, the other owes more than $4,000 in unpaid court fines and fees, and both were sitting in the Nobles County Jail as of Wednesday afternoon. Continue Reading

There is wisdom in the saying, “I’d rather be praised than punished, but I’d rather be punished than ignored.” I have known the Ybarra family since the three boys, Rene, Ronnie and Roland were little kids in grade school. I used to call these boys, “The teflon brothers” because they learned to play the games of the legal system early in life and always knew how to slip through on a technicality one way or another as I expect will continue on as it has. Their most well known stunt is playing the race card. Even though they were born here and raised here, their famous claim to fame is that they are poor Mexicans being discriminated against. The biggest joke of all is that we kept falling for it year after year. And so the game just played on and on like a stuck record on an old phonograph. I expect more of the same. Making idiots of public defenders has been a favorite pass time of the Ybarra brothers for many years and I expect more of that to follow, too. I would like to suggest to any public defender handling their cases to just show up in court wearing a clown suit because by the time the Ybarra’s are done with you, it is what you will look like anyway.

Public Defenders represent defendants.
If they keep slipping through on technicalities, I.e. getting off or easy, it makes the public defenders, or whatever attorney they hired look good.
Your “clown suit” comment is directed at the wrong side.
