DUBLIN (AP) Beaming before an exultant sea of people, President Barack Obama on Monday reveled in his distant Irish ancestry, offering spirited thanks from tens of millions of Americans who trace their own connections to Ireland. With his wife, Michelle, at his side, the president said: “We feel very much at home.”

The right wing needs to make up their mind about government involvement.
Not to worry – the Fed will be there to offer aid. And the President will tour these disaster areas, but he’s not a storm chaser. Kinda hard to change an entire itinerary for a sudden tornado.

Is it not the job of the President to travel to foreign countries on behalf of the United States? Pretty sure I recall two famous Presidental speaches occuring on foreign soil in Germany by President Kennedy and President Reagan.
Wayne and Harold your cries make about as much sense as those who found fault in President Bush for not rushing out of that elementary school in 2001. But I guess if you don’t like someone you will find fault in almost anything they do.

It would give the appearance that he is trying to calm his nerves, thinking about all the devastation back in his homeland. A city of around 50,000 people all but wiped out, and many other cities heavily damaged would cause many a leader to hit the bottle.
