I’m glad to hear that they made it out unscathed. But this is a good testimony to the importance of carrying a cell phone with you everywhere you go. I’d imagine two guys in their 80s wouldn’t find much use for cell phones, but you can get a prepaid phone for dirt cheap and it can really be a lifesaver.

This story reminds me of our many conversations with my father-in-law. We bought him a cell; he would either ‘forget’ how to use it or not keep it charged. We begged him to let us know when he went fishing up some trail or taking a drive. We would tease him we would have to implant a GPS locating device in his back side to track him
. He would laugh and tell us not to worry. Thank goodness these Good Friends had each other and were found safe and sound. Next time pack a snack bag too!
