Basing a Teacher’s salary on student performance may sound good but is not practical. There are numerous factors that make up a student’s performance, which teachers do not have control over.
01: Why should a Teacher be held responsible for a student failing to study outside of school?
02: Why should a Teacher be held responsible for a student who does not do their homework?
03: Why should a Teacher be held responsible for a student’s lack of attendance.
04: How can a Teacher be held responsible for a school system that tolerates poor behavior and performance by allowing an ALC or an internet based program for those student who can’t follow the rules and show up?
Teachers currently have very little control, even in their own classrooms. Portraying teachers as the problem is an easy way to avoid personal accountability. Parents need to start being parents. Schools districts need to return to the basic principles of reading, writing and arithmetic and stop wasting money and time on a failed social agenda that teaches entitlement, victimization and no accountability.
Before we starting blaming Teachers, lets take a good hard look in a mirror and as parents and recognize that we have abandoned our responsibility of raising our children to the schools.
Then take another look and see that we have voted and turned a blinded eye to the changes that our schools have made from being institutions of learning to institutions of social justice and humanism.

You missed the word, partially in my post. Of course it’s a 3 way street. Parents, students and teachers.
When students and parents don’t do their part, the student is rewarded with bad grades.
Teachers share the responsibility though.
I can’t think of another job where you get a pay raise when performance levels are lower then expected. Can you?
