I understand wanting to change up the selection and do a remodel, but why the name change? People haven’t stopped shopping in New Richmond because of the name affixed to a business. They’ve stopped shopping here because the malls, Cub, Rainbow and the like became the “in” places to shop in the 80′s. Main street dried up. Now there’s nothing downtown. What IS there, closes at 5:00pm, BEFORE those who work in the cities can make it home to shop. We need to do more to attract chains like Best Buy to town so people can shop at home. If we don’t get businesses in here and people don’t support them, Beebe’s, or whatever they’re going to be called, will close it’s doors anyways.
