This is likely one of the most important decisions that this Council will make, and if they have set guidelines for this position they should be following them. I do think there are times when some members of this Council think that Willmar is the town that they knew 40 years ago and forget that Willmar has evolved and changed.

Just do your jobs. A city council position should be easy to fill if you’re not up to the task…some should be, in my opinion. There are always those looking for a candidate that will somehow serve their interests, as opposed to the interests of the city. “Who can we best ‘use’ down the road…”. That way of thinking has no place in government…let’s stop it here.
