Nearly a third of North Dakota households have traded a landline for a wireless-only world. The modern trend continues to expand in North Dakota, which now has the fourth-highest proportion of cellphone-only households in the nation. Land lines as back up is a good idea, but if there was more access to fast speed wireless computing I bet the numbers of dropped land lines would really shoot up. I think a lot of us who aren’t on cable hang on to land lines primarily for computing.
