I think he should have fought the reckless driving charge. His defense could have been that he was just-a-little-drunk and was having hallucinations about a snowstorm.
I wonder if he is related to TEA Party favorite Sharron Angle.

It’s not really that uncommon for a first offense to be reduced. Many times the States Attorney will reduce it when the individual shows up for court, provided they plead guilty to a reckless driving charge, and agree to not fight an administrative hearing. Is it right? That’s debatable, but it does happen quite regularly.

Barely over the legal limit?!?! What difference does that make? He was over the legal limit, period and in a ditch no less!! He should have been charged with a DUI. Hey all of you in Grand Forks county that get picked up for being barley over the legal limit and have no prior convictions..no DUI for you!! What? It doesn’t work that way? Well obviously for some it does.
