Recall supporters to have “big news†announcement tonight in Hudson
April 18, 2011 at 6:50 am in Hudson Star-Observer
The Western Wisconsin Democrats web site has posted a notice of a meeting in Hudson with “big news” about the Sheila Harsdorf Recall effort. The meeting, titled a “Recall Harsdorf Rally Big News,” is Monday, April 18 at 6 p.m. at the St. Croix County government Center in Hudson. Continue Reading

The “big” announcement should be that they were wrong, and that they should have been collecting signatures to recall 14 missing democrats….and, why would you need 20k? You mean you EXPECT fraud on the signatures? Wow.

This is what you get when republicans, with Sheila in lock-step, force the elimination of medicare and medicaid, while at the same time rich keep getting grossly richer and big corporations force their ideology of dominating society. Maybe, just maybe, Wiskochsin will return to Wisconsin.

Why do we even need medicare and medicaid when we have obama care…healh care is free now, right?

What SPECIFIC issues do you have with Obamacare. Please, again, be specific. You do know Obamacare was fashioned after a republican implemented state plan, right? Again, be specific about your concerns.

No idea, how am I suppose to understand the wording of the bill if the legislatures who voted for it can not tell you what is in it. And why would you try to frame a healthcare bill after the failed attempt at the state level of a similar bill? But that is typical of democrats, take something that is failure, pour 10 times the money into it and still have it be a failure.

Sec 7203 of the Code provides that if there is a willful failure to file, pay, maintain appropriate records and the like that the taxpayer may be charged with a misdemeanor with a penalty of up to $25,000 and not more that a year in jail.

From what I have been able to gather on PPACA, I am not a large fan of it. I dislike the purchase mandate, the thousands of regulations that were written and the kick backs that had to be placed to get the votes. This form of “social” engineering really should be occuring at the state level, not the federal level. I am a big believer in having the states make the decisions for what is best for there state and the federal government is only there to do those things laid out in the constitution. If you left the states to compete against each other, you would get better ideas and people could more easily vote with there feet. I am quite aware you do not like the bill, but only because it did not go progressive enough for you. But, why would you want the government making any decision for you in your life, unless you need someone to make those decisions? WI could look at MA, and say hell no, we are not doing that. MA could look at badgercare, and say we need to follow that plan. When states have more control than the Federal government, prosperous times are ahead.

pre-tax is limited now to 2500- but i cant spend it on anything…
or….
your “free” healthcare dosent actually cover anyone that works….but we get the bill
or…
That your president “bargained” (BRIBED) states to go along- that and union labor that somehow got a hall pass

cleatus is right! The whole recall is quite ridiculous! We have official elections for a reason and they are final until the next election. All these cry babies whining because they didn’t like the outcome of something is embarrassing the state of WI.

JL, let Cleatus have a turn…crickets… Also, JL, nope, please wipe those guesses off the chalk board and start over. Anyone? Anyone? Maybe that impartial (sarcasm) Heritage Foundation has an opinion, although who paid for them to give its opinion-that is the question.
JL, seeing as you quoted “social,” please let us know if Oamacare is socialism. If the answer is yes, please provide us with an explanation on what socialism means.
You teapartiers love to use the words like ‘socialism’ and ‘communism.’ Now that Michigan’s Governor has sent in his ‘GUY’ to take over a city and fire whoever ‘HE’ wants, can anyone explain what its called when a politician takes over other governmental entities and reshapes them any way ‘he’ wants. It’s “HE,” by the way because you know the CEOs are men.
Last question, who is in the world’s history eliminated unions, decimated education, and took over other levels of government and replaced them with “HIS” troops? Anyone?

The social is in quotes as the states should have the power to implement the social programs they feel are appropriate for their citizens without unfunded mandates placed on them by the federal government. Obamacare is not socialism, with all the waivers that have been given, much closer to facism. I do apologize for putting words in your mouth that you may have not spoken, or written. In regards to your last question, you are trying to connect Walker to Hitler, as Hitler disbanded the weimer republic unions and replaced them with nazi/government unions. So we can assume that public unions today are the same as nazi unions back then? Also, in 2 weeks when all you union members celebrate may day, remember who started tht tradition.

Klewe, As a Dairy farmer I am offended by your attitude that farmers don’t really have a real Job. I would like to trade your life for mine for awhile. It also makes me upset that you wish ill luck on someone that you don’t agree politically. I have friends that are liberal and I respect their beleifs even if I don’t agree. I also understand why they may have their beleifs and don’t treat there viewpoints with disdain. I treat their views with respect and I we may have good nature joking on our views but we still get a long in the end. You are the mean spirited liberal that gives political disagreement a bad name.

I am a firm independent voter, leaned always to the right…..but this joker walker has crossed the line and any idiot that goes along with his plan to wipe out a large group of the middle class by cramming his union busting tactics down their throats, should be unemployed…….and no, I am not a firm believer that farming is actually work……seems more farmers I know have a time whining and complaining about how tough things are so they can get government handouts and claim to be barely making ends meet, while they have hundreds of acres, tons of equipment, all shiny and new….and everything is a tax write off……..no , not really feeling the farmer blues. Farming is like welfare. We working stiffs subsidize them too and it doesn’t equal savings at the store for us either……

I guess we agree again on some of the points. I agree that farm subsidies should be cut. They don’t let the free markets work correctly you need to let the ones not profitable fail. In the long run I think we would all do better. This year I will get no payments on my milk since the price is high enough but I have always said the milc program should go away. So should all the direct payments to crop farmers. With the size of the farms today you need large equipment and like all businesses they are expenses that can be depreciated just like a mechanic and his tools or his shop where he fixes his cars. I guess I just don’t understand your jealousy of famers. I think you are the only person I know that thinks farmers are lazy.

Klewe, now I have respect for you. You are doing what you have to do to survive in this economy. I respect someone that is willing to work 80 hours so they don’t have to be dependent on the gov’t. More people should have your conservative attitude. The gov’t is not the answer. It seems that you are smart not to waste your money on toys or having the next cool thing. I know we both would like ti have them It took the market crash in dairy in 2009 for me to know what is important. you also know what it is like to lose sleep trying to figure out how you are going to pay your bills like me. I would like a new truck myself but I know that having a new shiny truck will not pay my suppliers. My milk prices may have went up but my expenses also have gone up also ie. corn and soybeans have went through the roof. I think it shows that were are all not that different we just see the world a little different

Shiela deserved to get her $200K farm subsidy. Just like Bachmann’s family deserved their government subsidy. Don’t you people understand that? They earned their corporate welfare.

Sheila and Bachmann accepting farm subsidies is no different than Obama or any other liberal filing his taxes under the current tax code while calling for higher taxes.
