Gogebic Taconite ready to drill test holes in northern Wisconsin

One of the largest private investments in Wisconsin history and the largest new taconite iron ore plant in the U.S. in more than
40 years would transform the region’s economy, according to a study funded by Gogebic Taconite LLC on its proposed $1.5 billion taconite mine.
We’re willing to pollute our water and destroy our north woods so that China and India can be as wasteful and consumptive as us? I’d say it’s the beginning of the end, but that ship has already sailed.

Gogebic Taconite is on the Boycott list from many (out of state!!!) employee donations to Scott Walker. Keep attention on this organization, they cannot be allowed to slip into our state, exploit the resources to the environment’s demise.
