Supreme Court election is April 5
March 31, 2011 at 1:00 am in River Falls Journal
Next Tuesday Wisconsin voters will go to the polls to elect one of seven justices to the state Supreme Court. The incumbent, David Prosser Jr., is challenged by Assistant Attorney General JoAnne Kloppenburg.

Vote Prosser! Prosser is the clear and obvious best choice just after reading this article.
If you want to learn more about Kloppenberg’s lengthy litigious career against businesses in our state read here:

Wisconsin does not need a supreme court justice who will go out of her way to sue any business that comes before the court. She is a radical liberal with aspirations to be an activist judge on our supreme court, legislating from the bench. No thanks Kloppenburg!
Hot debate. What do you think?

um – danimal, i would want my judge to hear the merits of the case and rule based on that. Which Prosser has a reputation of being impartial. Kloppenburg has no experience as a judge, but I doubt very much she is impartial. danimal – you are not as smart as you think you are.

Plus danimal -
The state supreme court is exclusively for hearing appeals of legal issues. It does not make any finding of facts, and thus holds no trials. In the rare case where the trial court made an egregious error in its finding of facts, the state supreme court will remand to the trial court for a new trial. So, the example of your trial wouldn’t be heard by Justice Prosser alone. If it was a case the State Supreme Court heard, there is a panel of judges that make decisions.

i dislike and don’t agree with the use of the word “admittedly” in your comment. That is your opinion and I say to that, what are unions if they aren’t big business. But kudos to your willingness to accept the supreme court process.
See, people can find common ground, now go vote Prosser, April 5!

You are right, sbrown. Poor wording on my part. It was an inference. I don’t like the dishonesty from the GOP and DFL, so my intent is not to mistate. He did not admit anything. Meant an inference can be made… Dang, now I have to give you another ‘like’.

93 year old, former Democratic governor “steps down” as honorary co-chair of Prosser’s campaign? How will they possibly find someone to fill that vital role now?

It looks like Lucey is the one that lost his impartiality – not Prosser. Lucey is putting the Democrat party before the impartiality of what a Judge should represent.
Patrick Lucey’s bio: (shortened)
Patrick Joseph Lucey (born March 21, 1918) is a member of the United States Democratic Party who served as the 38th Governor of the U.S. state of Wisconsin from 1971 to 1977.[1] In 1977, he was appointed ambassador to Mexico by President Jimmy Carter, a post he held until 1979. He was also an independent vice-presidential candidate in 1980 with John Anderson.

As a matter of fact, for Prosser to have “hired” this guy in the first place shows how impartial Prosser is and that he understands this job is NOT about political party! We need to keep the ethics of Prosser on the bench in WI!

How was my comment villifying him? I told you his background. you don’t find it curious that Lucey decides at the last minute to make this announcement? i do and i don’t put it past the union thugs out of DC and Chicago to have put pressure on him to do so. How can you dismiss that it is Lucey that is not being impartial? Of course I’m going to respond to your assertion that Kloppenburg is impartial. She is so far from impartial! She is so left of left that not even Doyle would appoint her and she lost a bid for a county judge 3 times. She does not have the qualifications to be a State Supreme Court Judge. I’m curious why you are so adament that she is nuetral when there is so much evidence to the contrary. Or does evidence not matter to you and you just make decisions based on your ideology? Fine in your personal life, but not fine for a State Supreme Judge.

danimal – you should listen to this guys words. he was a victim of a crime. he denounces Kloppenburgs accounts of the case and has aksed her to stop using the vile ad in her campaign, she has not. So now he is speaking out and supports Prosser. Kloppenburg supporters lie and that is who you are aligning yourself with.

That’s funny, sbrown. It wasn’t even Koppenburg’s ad…nice try. Imagine if people just told the truth. But here’s some truth for you. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinal just did a facts analysis of Prosser and Kloppenburg’s claims made in various debates. Guess what? Prosser didn’t fair to well. I believe his claims were rated as “False” and “ridiculous.” However, Kloppenburg’s statements were analyzed as true.
So, sbrown, first, admit the ad wasn’t ran by Kloppenburg-you’re playing dirty (although you conservatives are pretty good at that in these recent weeks), and second, the proof is in the Milwaukee Journal’s analysis.
The journal found Kloppenburg had been truthful in the various debates, whereas Prosser was deemed to have been “RIDICULOUS” and “FALSE.” This is from a reputed right-leaning newspaper, however, I’m sure you’ll try to villify them in order to plant some doubt in readers minds, but we’re smarter than that, sbrown.

Vote Kloppenburg (vote for credibililty, honesty, and an independent voice-Kloppenburg for WI Supreme Court!)

of course not, danimal. i wasn’t pointing out kloppenburg supporters (unions) vile ad against Prosser. I was showing you that even the subject of the dems vile ad is telling them to stop using his case and that he supports Prosser. Please start using your critical thinking skills. I’m worried about you.

I would stop running any ad if information became known to question its validity. I agree on this point.
