I wonder at the wisdom of the CRP program, I know it started out as a program to help highly errodable farm lands and wet lands. Now I see complete farms put on program acres and the farmer living off the proceeds. Now that In my mind is fraud, plain and simple FRAUD!!
Welfare payments to jump through the governments hoops. I say if you can’t farm or ranch it, and your family doesn’t want to do it, either lease it or sell it. There are many of us out there that would like to own land and find it all tied up by greedy people latched onto the government teat unwilling to let go. And in this economy and national debt–its time to wean off and grow up I say.
