Lehrke’s comments are beyond the pale! So her GOP buddies want to raid the CTIB fund to plug their massive union-busting disinvestment bill, and all she has to said is that the county should then abandon transit…this is like saying that if someone threatens to rob the bank you should stick your money under a mattress instead of trying to stop the would-be thief! Ms. Lehrke, would you please do you job (at least for once) and stand FOR the county AGAINT these ill-considered measures from your own party ?

teresa, once again you show that having no clue is no reason for not offering an opinion…well, first fact you have wrong is that it is the REPUBLICAN Legislature, not the Met Council that is trying to divert the money away from this dedicated fund. Second, half of the article is about Lehrke’s refusal to criticize the REPUBLICAN Legislature and, instead, urging the County to abandon transit altogether. So, teresa, I am just very properly and quite accurately commenting on what the article stated…and you?

CG, the news article here, and my comments, all relate to the REPUBLICAN Legislature’s plan to steal from this dedicated fund to plug the budget deficit (which, I might add, they are making bigger by giving tax breaks that will benefit mostly the rich…but I digress). Your REPUBLICAN friends Kriesel and McNamara voted for this, which will mean a cut to all transit option, including the busses that you love so much…please PLEASE read the article and my comments before typing your responses.
