Senate Republicans ram through anti-union legislation, Dems claim meeting illegal
March 9, 2011 at 2:07 pm in Superior Telegram
Republicans in the Wisconsin Senate voted Wednesday night to strip nearly all collective bargaining rights from public workers after discovering a way to bypass the chamber’s missing Democrats. Continue Reading

Seems odd that the Democrats can break the rules and that is OK but the Republicans find away around their chicanery and then the Republicans are cheating? Jauch and his cronies are two faced. When Walker issued a press release Jauch condemned him saying those talks should be secret. Yet he had a press conference condemning Walker for having a press conference. What a liberal clown.

JAUNCH BEING TWO FACED?! i remember when it was cool to say something that makes no sense. you remember that lil phone call the walker made to “Koch”… say how he would basically lie to the dems to get them into the meeting just so they could vote? Then how they lied to the whole state of wisconsin saying how this was strictly a finacial bill. then they seperate the finiacial part and the collective bargaining just to bust unions. and no im not a democrat nor am i a republican, im wisconsinite that hates being lied to, step on, ruled over, and brushed aside. the GOP did this for there own gain. WISCONSIN WILL FIGHT THIS

So your saying it is fair for outside union support by Obama and other liberals is ok? No it is not this is a WI issue plain and simple and WI voted Walker and a Republican Senate and House in to office. You talk about being lied to then how about Obama’s health care bill that was passed with out citizens even knowing what was in it. We know what was in Walkers Budget bill no fooling anyone there. As far as that phone call goes too bad that blogger cannot be arrested for fraud. If a Republican did that to a Democrat the liberals would be crying for heads to roll.
I think it is great that the Senate found a way around the AWOL senators who are the gutless ones as they have not been doing their jobs they have been busy instead being rabble-rousers

im not talking about obama? and yes we did vote him in, but only because he didnt say anything in his campaign about striping working of nearly all their collective bargaining rights, and yes we elected a republican senate. and what did we elect them to do? represent us! nearly 70% of wisconsin citizens oppose this bill and the striping of collective bargaining. how can you say republicans are doing their jobs when they are clearly doing this for thier own gain.

I get a kick out of the title of the article “Senate Republicans ram through anti-union legislation, Dems claim meeting illegal”
I cannot help but think if the Democrats had passed a bill the Republicans did not like the article might have been titled: Senate Democrats pass controversial bill. I doubt the word RAM would have been used. I think the Duluth/Superior Papers are a bit biased on their reporting of this issue.

Why does this so remind me of the first 2 years under President Obama’s leadership? “Under the cover of darknessâ€, “without even having a bill in front of themâ€, and “deaf to the pleas of the overwhelming majority†all seem to have a very similar ring to them with hateful undertones. We Democrats are very lucky about one thing – that the media is on our side and refuses to cover that this Walker Bill is so overwhelming beneficial to the vast majority that it actually works. How dare Scott Walker actually campaign on balancing the budget and actually do it! Why if he even dares to overturn Doyle’s mandatory car insurance limit increase or his legislative financial lock on emergency services saving Wisconsinites billions, I too will join in the protests. And if he thinks that he can just waltz in there and over turn years of voter improprieties, well he just doesn’t understand the power of the Democrat party.

Cam I do not believe that 70 percent figure at all as I have said last night on a different article on this subject Polls can be manipulated by who ever is doing the polls. If you contacted folks who live in highly democratic areas you may get that figure but that is not the whole state of WI lots of other areas of the state vote Republican. Since the media is primarily leftist they slant the news also. The usage of the word RAM in the article suggest that.

I notice a lot of thumbs up on these comments. And this in a democratic union area. Oh that is right the teachers and union members are all out chanting like monkeys, beating drums and carrying signs.

Yes! You are correct there! And I am reminded of that fact every time I look at my stub from my full-time paycheck from my Union Railroad job. My family and I receive a very small fraction of what I earned with HARD work! Yes, I pay these peoples wages and benefits and it enrages me when they’re holding “Woodstock” at the State Capitol when I am going to work everyday!!! Oh, don’t forget the deduction out of my check every month that is taken out for “Union Dues”! Don’t tell people like us what these people do! We pay and pay and pay and pay and pay for them!!!!!!

That’s why Right Minded people need to keep moving forward with our feet on the gas. Because all of these sheep will never get it, nor ever even try too. Those of them that are crying now, who have ACTUALLY voted in recent elections, chant over and over “Oh, those Republicans! Oh, those Republicans! They have created our deficit, those Republicans! Our children and grandchildren, and their children are going to be the ones to pay dearly for this deficit created by them! Someone needs to do something about this deficit! It will destroy future generations!” Now that someone is ACTUALLY doing something about the deficit they are chanting that “THIS is now going to destroy our children, and their children!” Huh!!!??? Which is it!?
