This news item must be wrong! There is no way that business, a sacred, all-mighty corporation in Michelle Bachman’s own district, a 100% Republican-represented district at that, can be failing! It must be Gov. Dayton’s fault for suggesting raising their taxes or Obama’s fault for giving health care to the sick …there is NO WAY that these workers are being fired due to incompetence of management & owners, or failure to prepare or innovate in a competitive market…this cannot be capitalism’s fault, it has to be caused by those evil socialists in St. Paul and Washington!

My husband and I worked for Smead 10 years ago. The company wasn’t doing well back then so we decided to leave. Smead has always been considered a family company. There a some husband and wives that work there. I would be horrible for them to both lose their jobs at the same time. Let alone, they would have to find jobs comperable in pay to pay their bills. I wish all the Smead employees good luch in their futures. I am thinking about all of you.

Thanks for the comment.
