One more, FloodBunny – Middle aged bimbo wearing brand new blue jean bibs, at least knee high boots, red scarf, heavy makeup, new leather gloves, etc. Seen walking around their neighborhood observing flood volunteers do manual labor to protect their homes/castles. Never once can a true FloodBunny soil any of their attire in the slightest. I remember seeing a pair of them stop to check their faces in their compacts and to make certain they still had the appropriate amount of hair pulled slightly out of place. It’s quite an experience watching FloodBunnies pull a few more hairs out of place, tuck their compacts back into their chest then resume the walk like they were really experiencing the flood effort unfolding in their back yards. That’s when I quit doing random volunteer work and learned to target homes that were actively working to protect their property. Oh yeah, same week, same drive, I watched one home in the cul de sac who wasn’t helping try to sneak/steal a horde of private sandbags after dark into their garage just in case they ran low on bags and needed to protect their private property. Nope, for that I will no longer ever help the Meadow Ridge Drive loop even if there are some worthy recipients. I’ll work triple shifts for an appreciative person.
