A group of area clergy met with Sen. Sheila Harsdorf Monday, Feb. 29, to open a dialogue about community fears and concerns with Governor Walker’s budget-repair bill. Continue Reading

I applaud the local clergy for discussing the local feelings about the Budget Repair Bill and the Governor’s refusal to compromise. I doubt however that it will have much influence over Senator Harsdorf’s position on this bill. She has shown that she is in lockstep with Walker on this issue and still supports the bill. The senator is revealing where her true allegiance is in this process. Senator Harsdorf is solidly in the pockets of the corporate lobby on this and many other issues facing Wisconsin residents. It’s time for Harsdorf to stop pretending to be our “neighbor” and do what’s right for her district and represent the citizens who elected her.

I thought that the article was going to say that the clergy got Sheila together to pray for her safety and strength during these difficult times. Instead they grilled her on the collective bargaining debate. Try sticking with the Gospel….it works every time.
