I don’t give the city, or county good marks on cleanup. Why is it they wait until late morning to begin cleanup? There were cars getting stuck all over the place on my way to work at 4am, and the ramps off the by-pass were in poor, to terrible condition, which caused some motorists to become stuck trying to use the exit. I realize the budget is a bit tight, but safety should be the main concern, not a time table for their budget. How do you schedule drivers to start at a certain time during a very big snow storm, ignoring basic emergency procedures? What is emergency management in this county doing about this? There were others who voiced their disappointment, and we all agreed this could border on neglect! Once the winds died down, the plow trucks should have been up, and moving. Human life is more important then a budget? People still had to go to work, and come from work, even though it was a holiday. I realize people should stay in when the weather is bad, but how is it the cops and paramedics are at work? When you are trapped in the driveway because side streets don’t get plowed until late, people become frustrated. You just don’t pencil in this type of snow storm, you roll with the storm, especially when it is safe to do so.
